Lent Studies 2020

Lent is a time of year when many people give God extra time—a time to study and draw close to God so that when Easter comes our celebrations are all the more meaningful and joyful. Across the Team in homes, this year we are using Live Lent is a 40 day challenge on ‘Care for God’s Creation’ which is inspired by The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent book 2020 ‘Saying Yes to Life’ written by Ruth Valerio who is the Global Advocacy and Influencing Director, Tearfund.

The 40 day challenge is a small book of daily reflections which starts on Ash Wednesday 26th February the theme is based on creation as described in Genesis 1. Each day there is a Prayer, Picture, a short passage from the bible, a short reflection and practical action.

The 40 day study can be linked with the book ‘Saying Yes to Life’ Published by SPCK.

The small booklet is available from Church to look at individually or the home groups will be studying together:
